This movie vexed me in both its length and its celebration -- however temporary -- of McCandless' selfishness. But I have to say, your stills are beautiful and make me appreciate the film a lot more.

well said. The book, I think, paints a more precise picture of the consequences of his actions, all of which stem from his deep selfishness. His poor family. beautiful film though, the shot of him with the horses is stellar.

judging this movie as a...movie...not a critque on this man's life choices, it's one of the best. beautifully done. lovely caps too.

Lord Byron rocks! A few months ago, I wrote a response to Don Juan in ottava rima.

I think it's great that you added that.

Nice caps, trademarc.

Oh, and I love it when directors shoot outdoors and capture glimpses of the awesome beauty of nature.

Perty.

I kinda thought the Chris of the book was a joy, and the Chris of the movie was a twat. Nice stills, though.

this is one of my favorite movies, dismissing everything of his consequences, i love the focus on a simplistic way of life, very refreshing.
iv yet to read the book.
