I can't believe I haven't seen or read this. I want to read it first though.
Judging by the stills it looks like the male version of Girl Interrupted.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest puts Girl, Interrupted to shame! the two are not even comparable.

Will Sampson was a GREAT MAN. i HAD THE HONOR OF MEETING HIM IN THE EARLY 1980'S.

Oh man. I was in love with Billy Bibbit in this movie. I also remember, before I ever watched it, having a crazy crush on Harding, only to be dissappointed that William Redfield played him.
Oh teen angst!
Awesome choice.

Does the film hold true to the book? Or is it way different?

billy and his sex hair... :D oh i expected miss ratched would be a fatter and bigger actress than her.

this film is so perfect. even though the book is quite different, i think the movie stands on it's own quite well and it's always been a favorite of mine. you just can't beat it as far as mental hospital films go!

it's so insane how nurse ratched's expression NEVER changes until the very end.

Oh man. I saw this, interestingly enough, on a bus on a school trip in grade 8 (the ones with the TVs) and I was so completely taken aback by it. It was so incredibly sad--I can never get that unnerving nurse out of my head, nor can I ever forget Jack's performance here and the narrative itself.

Arg. Makes my heart wrench everytime.

Such a great film, thanks for doing this, makes me want to watch it again.
